The water is rushing into a dry lake bed in the Central Valley were it will be absolutely no use in fighting the LA fires. But it might bring up the property value around that formally dry lake bed.
The farmers in the basin own the water that was released and they depend on that water for their crops during the dry season – now it’s gone.
Also Trump should have had State approval before he released the water .

I also heard that citrus fruit is not being picked for the same reason. Over 80% of the fruit pickers are migrants and illegals and the numbers are probably the same for vegetable pickers. It was easy for Trump to start mass deportations but he has no plan on how to solve the problems it creates. Cheers!
