Now, I very seldom drink alcohol myself, but most of the occasions when I did within living memory have been after work, with colleagues. But Corbyn is a vegetarian, and I am not. Perhaps he will have a go at those of us who eat meat next. Jeremy is an old Labour socialist, the kind who brought the country to its knees, and made us the sick man of Europe, in the seventies. Sadly, I have all too vivid memories of those dark days. Which they were, with the lights going out due to the electricity unions striking. Socialists believe the state has the right to try to control all aspects of our lives. Frankly, that is pretty much the reverse of what I believe. The state has a responsibility to provide things like health care, social security, education, and such aspects as are necessary to our wellbeing and protection.
