Do you think Trump will bring back the guillotine?

It has been reported that Trump has talked about bringing back death by firing squad, by hanging, and by guillotine if he is re-elected. His reasoning is that it would be more dramatic than the lethal injection method. I bet Trump has dreams of being in a photo op with him holding up a severed head. Cheers!

I also posted this question on another Q&A site  and even one of the Trump supporters figured he was loosing his mind. Of course after that they added something about Hunter Biden's laptop. Cheers!

Let's sincerely hope so and cooler heads prevail. We don't need a shock jock president who can't think! This post was edited by CosmicWunderkind at February 17, 2023 12:48 PM MST

The US Federal rules on death penalty were already changed in 2020. Simply allows the Federal gov to use any method that is legal for use in the state the where the execution will take place.
    This is old news.

Well I wonder how many of them will want to use a guillotine as the form of execution. Cheers!

I do not know of any state that allows guillotine as an option.

Good ideas. Let the victim's families perform the executions.

IF he is re-elected. Not happening. DeSantis will trounce him in the GOP primaries.

And Trump will have another meltdown, run as an independent, split the anti-Biden vote and practically guarantee a second Dem term. Unless the GOP decide to nominate him in self-defense for that reason.

If DeSantis is smart he will wait until 2028 or later. He will kill his chance if he runs against Trump.

No he won’t. He has a better chance of winning than Trump now.

If he runs against Trump, he is done. You cannot win the nomination without Trump's base and we are not going to support anyone who has opposed Trump.

If the GOP nominates him, they lose. This is obvious.

If DeSantis or anyone else runs and gets the nomination, Trump's base will stay home. Rather have another idiot Dem than a RINO.

FL has a law that says the Gov must resign if he runs for higher office. Even if FL legislature votes to allow it....it will not look good for him.
