But, yesterday, I came across one where I was the third car in a row heading one direction (for argument's sake, we'll say we were westbound, but I really have no idea since we were in twisty-turny mountain roads...) and one car was headed eastbound. The leader of the pack with the westbound traffic arrived at the bridge first and proceeded onto the bridge without hesitation and the eastbound car waited by default. I figure the bridge was maybe as long as 10-15 vehicles... it took maybe 30-60 seconds to cross the bridge. In other words, it really didn't add much time onto the wait if the second two cars went, but if either of the second two paused to let opposing traffic go, they would have waited for both groups to cross- roughly 1.5-2 mins. The question is, should the second and third cars in my group have gone? Or should we have waited since the eastbound car was at the bridge before us?&n... less

Over the course of my life, I found out the hard way what it’s like to sit next to a speeder, a tail-gater, a rude driver, an inconsiderate driver, unsafe drivers, and once, a driver who happily boasted that he was driving even though his license was suspended. Each of those incidents were one time only that I made sure did not repeat.

Mine were these two, a Ford Mustang and an Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, the latter being the worst of the pair.
The Mustang was my first and last sports car. I found it to be slung way too low for my preferences, the way the driver’s seat was designed was far too “laid back” and could not be adjusted differently, much too restrictive field of visibility, too difficult to be seen by other drivers. I learned that sports cars are not my choice, and I have shied away from them ever since.
When I was growing up, my stepfather always said that a car is nothing but a hole to throw money into, and 15 years later, I had to agree with that sentiment because I became the owner of the Olds.
