Are there any smells you absolutely cannot tolerate? Ones that make you run the other way.
I find the smell of marijuana smoke to be quite offensive. Cigarette smoke also, but not to the same degree, however, when in the presence of chain smokers who have the stench emulating from their breath, their pores, their hair, their clothing, the interiors of their cars, workspaces, homes, etc., count me out.
Burning or burnt toast.

Onion breath.

Alcoholics’ breath.
Freshly-laid fertilizer.
Freshly-laid tar or asphalt.

Stagnant, moldy, algae-filled water.
My wife’s fingernail polish as she’s applying it and the bottles are open (once it dries, it has no odor).
Certain makeup products that women wear, especially when it’s caked on as thick as greasepaint.

I think that almost any answer(s) to the posted question could be rebutted by others stating they like what another person doesn’t like; I almost fell into that trap myself when I read some answers. There’s not much validity to countering others’ answers, because all of this is based on opinion, there is no right or wrong. Unless, of course, it’s Slart and his Vegemite.
