All creation are considered souls. Hebrew - Nephesh;  Greek - psyche
     neʹphesh and psy·kheʹ,

    •  Soul
      • The traditional rendering of the Hebrew word neʹphesh and the Greek word psy·kheʹ. In examining the way these terms are used in the Bible, it becomes evident that they basically refer to (1) people, (2) animals, or (3) the life that a person or an animal has. (Ge 1:20; 2:7; Nu 31:28; 1Pe 3:20; also ftns.) In contrast to the way that the term “soul” is used in many religious contexts, the Bible shows that both neʹphesh and psy·kheʹ, in connection with earthly creatures, refer to that which is material, tangible, visible, and mortal. In this translation, these original-language words have most often been rendered according to their meaning in each context, using such terms as “life,” “creature,” “person,” “one’s whole being,” or simply as a personal pronoun (for example, “I” for “my soul”). In most cases, footnotes give the alternative rendering “soul.” When the term “soul” is used, either in the main text or in footnotes, it should be understood in line with the above explanation. When referring to doing something with one’s whole soul, it means to do it with one’s whole being, wholeheartedly, or with one’s whole life. (De 6:5; Mt 22:37) In some contexts, these original-language words can be used to refer to the desire or appetite of a living creature. They can also refer to a dead person or a dead body.—Nu 6:6; Pr 23:2; Isa 56:11; Hag 2:13.

He only saved those who had faith in Him. A couple of sinners suffering in the hell fires asked Satan if he wouldn't rather have one Christian down here instead of the two of us evil sinners . Satan said 'course I would'. 'Ok so ask Jesus if He can find a Christian willing to suffer hellfires in order to release two sinners'
Jesus thought it over then went to find a Christian and ask him. First Christian says 'no sorry I will not go spend eternity in hell'. Jesus records the guy's name. Second Christian says 'no, let them burn forever -they deserve it.' Jesus records his name. Finally the sixth guy says 'yes Lord I am always ready to do thy bidding.' Jesus takes him down to meet Satan then Satan releases the two sinners but Jesus secretly sneaks the Christian guy out with them. Then He says to Satan 'here is the names of 5 persons that will be joining you on Judgment Day  because they lacked faith in Me.'

Where did you get the numbers? You do have some numbers, right? If you can't cite historic records with numbers then stop repeating that bullsnot.

I mean numbers like this: https://www.nytimes.com/imagepages/2011/11/06/opinion/06atrocities_timeline.html?ref=sunday

I don't have any numbers as the most I can't count up two is twenty and that drops by half depending on what type of shoes I'm wearing  on the day... :(

Sarcasm can be very hurtful at times ,but it's also a gift that one should never stop playing with  ...:)D

okay, so Israel has ethnically cleansed Palestine of non-Jews and is killing people to keep Israel for Jews, but how is the carnage in Syria driven by religion?

The killings in Syria could be driven by "hatred ,money and power" West powers pitted against Eastern ones to fight over who gets to install a puppet government there. That's evolution of 21st century man for you.

It seems that regardless of the reason for the start of wars in the region, the religious can't resist joining in.

Backed by Russia and Shiite Muslim militias supported by Iran, the Syrian troops have steadily gained on one of the few pockets of control remaining from the 2011 uprising against Assad.

Well, if he was anything like my grandmother was, he could have saved empty bread bags and twist ties. She had boxes of them when we cleaned out her place.
