She initially used the phrase "sexual assault" and then used the phrase "sexual abuse" later. The gist of the story is, she was at a club dancing and some guy asked her inappropriate questions about her nipples. She got mad and told the manager. The manager didn't respond. She then phoned the police with the intent to press sexual assault charges. Nothing came of it. The police told her she was not assaulted, but she insists she was and is now calling out everyone who "wronged" her that night by name insisting they're further victimizing the victim of an assault. Every single person (and now there are dozens) who responded is supporting her, and now the discussion has changed into "This is why women don't report rapes." I'm obviously not go... less

My mom lives in a nursing home and is on a very limited income. She can only afford one carton of cigarettes per month and she has to make them last. However, she's also required to leave them at the nurse's station. They give her one when she goes out on a break. Each month, I bring her a carton with her name on it. They take it and store it. A while back, she became suspicious that some were "walking away" and began keeping count. Her theory was that the staff doesn't bother to look at the printed name- just gives them out to whomever. She says she confirmed this because there have been times she's been given someone else's cigarettes. For what it's worth, the staff says my mother gives them out and coaches her not to. My mother says this is untrue. It really could go either way.In any case, I'm wondering if there's a way to mark individual ... less

A while back, a friend of mine took a job and they treated my friend very poorly. The friend put up with it, but when I heard what was happening, it was bad enough that I reported ... moreA while back, a friend of mine took a job and they treated my friend very poorly. The friend put up with it, but when I heard what was happening, it was bad enough that I reported the agency to several state boards. Later, the friend purchased a vehicle in a private sale. Within a week or so, the vehicle started falling apart. I looked up the seller and the seller had a criminal record for things like fraud involving vehicle sales. The same friend recently got established with a medical provider found through their insurance company and was telling me all the things that were happening there that didn't seem right. I looked into the provider and, although he calls himself a doctor, he isn't one. I reported him to the boards. There are more stories like this with this one person, and some, like the vehicle, I can say, "Ok, you should have had the car checked before you bought it and researched the seller," but the job and the non-doctor? Weird.

i.e. Overpopulation is killing the earth. However, populations that are shrinking don't have the resources to care for their elderly. What's the fix here?
