Yet it is a draw, a lure, an irresistible occurrence for some who live for it. A mystical emotional roller coaster ride they seem to be addicted to and simply cannot quit. It is a way to pass the time away because there is nothing else that moves them so than the repetition of what they've heard dozens of times before but can't get enough of forever more. Weird. less

How can the same old thing hold any value for anyone? A way to kill time together? Have they come to this? Is that all there is? Apologies to Peggy Lee and the song of the same name. Whatever the city or state the prate never changes. Some may have it memorized including the crazy hand movements. How can the same thing be endlessly exhilarating fascinating exciting? I don't get it. less

I usually get brief/ generic feedback at the end explaining my grade. Typically something along the lines of "demonstrated competency." or "enjoyed reading this." With the last time, one of the questions asked what I had learned form the chapter. I highlighted what I didn't learn and asked the professor a bunch of questions. He still gave me a perfect score and left a comment that I demonstrated proficiency. Obviously, he isn't reading anything I write. How many teachers/ professors do this? less

Personally, I've never disliked brushing my teeth, and I've never heard heard of anyone else disliking having to brush his or her teeth. Do you find validity in the quoted statement above?

My deposit got stuck in the tube and wouldn't go in my account until Moonday. We lived paycheck to paycheck and couldn't go grocery shopping.

I wonder how others manage this? I do mean non-naughty wise although that's a good question for elsewhere :P

Wherever the next gun massacre occurs take them there to provide comfort and care. Or the next flood or hurricane? That would be a fitting way for him to EARN a Nobel Award. Maybe even the NOBEL PEACE PRIZE if he could convince the peeps he has purposely riled up for years to rile down, get a grip, and act like caring AMERICAN CITIZENS and help their neighbors. Now I know that chain of command rules and folks don't have time sometimes to be questioned or challenged. So in that way I'm too soft.I'm thinking about creative people, imaginative people, sensitive people. Maybe they are not meant to witness death or seeing their friends blown up. Maybe they simply don't have the "right stuff" to be a good soldier emotionally. They love their country and are very patriotic but they just aren't able to do the tough stuff required of a solider. What do you think? Are some of the homeless soldiers there because they never should have been in the military in the first place? Sad. less
