But during his presidency he forgot all about them and made no effort at fulfilling those promises. Two: Trump held his Detroit UAW rally at a non union Trim plant - which the UAW probably didn't like. And the speech he gave supported his agenda not the auto workers long term goals. Because shortly after Jan. 6th Milley made a call to China to ease their worries that the US was not about to launch a nuclear strike against them (American intelligence agency's had gathered info that China was very worried that Trump would launch a strike after he lost the election). Millley's call to China was authorized by Trump-administration officials. The sheriffs and other court house workers have been getting death threats for the last couple of weeks and Trump does nothing to stop it.
