So I took him and quietly put him to my breast and he started sucking im... moreI wss 40, and my close friend's four monfh old was terribly upset, and nothing she would do would calm him. So I took him and quietly put him to my breast and he started sucking immediately. I wasn't lactating but he continued sucking till he fell asleep. It was a most joyful feeling I had. Never had a baby suck me, and I can still "feel" his tiny hand gently pressing and caressing my left breast as he found solace in it. He is the only child I've ever soothed this way: an experience I'm not likely to forget ever. less

I don't know what to talk to them about or how to keep them entertained at this age!
