Examples: stop in-fighting, stop gathering for events that previously centered on the deceased when she or he was alive, stop sweating the small stuff, stop procrastinating, stop a good habit, stop a bad habit, stop making excuses, stop feeling sorry for oneself, stop feeling anything at all, stop hurting, stop remembering how the deceased looked, stop enjoying life, stop caring about anyone or anything, stop grieving, stop loving the deceased (my former stepfather was in his forties when his mother passed away, he shocked me by expressing that he felt she had betrayed him by dying, that he had never and could never imagine life on earth without her, saw her death as a personal slight against him for which he could not forgive her).

Perhaps due to cultural or regional customs (I live in San Francisco, California), food was never served to mourners after the funeral service in the homes of relatives or friends of the deceased. Instead, relatives or friends of the deceased always host a restaurant meal for the mourners after the funeral service. In all the funerals that I've attended, there was an average of 50 mourners. Insufficient space in people's home to accommodate an average of 50 mourners is also a consideration for relatives or friends of the decease to host a restaurant meal. less

And, the most horrible part, is that he did that to himself.Kinda like people who don't wanna wear masks or get vaccinated.. To be a good sport, I tried it, and I’m telling you, surprisingly, I didn’t hate it. In fact, it wasn’t half bad. Of course, the guacamole was buried in the conglomerate of whatever other foods it was halfheartedly disguised under.
After dinner, it occurred to me that this can’t just be happenstance, and it must have a deeper significance. What does it foretell, what does it portend? When I go to drift off to sleep tonight, will I be summoned along a vast tunnel with a brightly shining light beckoning me by the call of my name? Is this my last day in this world? Am I destined to slip the icy cold grip of this life and float on to the next one?
