Here's my example: I rented a storage space last year and after they drew me in with a reasonable monthly rental rate, they added on "administrative fees," insurance, and locks which I could only buy from them. Then I found out their storage boxes on sale at 30% off were actually three times as expensive as the same boxes elsewhere. In the end they will lose because I will never rent from them again.
