I did it in my 5th grade civics class. They ARE the rules of society, after all, and you can't win if you don't know the rules.
Why did we STOP teaching civics? I think it's cause you can't GOVERN an informed populace. You can only RULE them.
Should we re-institute the teaching of civics? What would happen if we did?

Our Grandson will be starting kindergarten this year. It is going to be a big change for him but I bet it won't take long for him to fit in and become the class clown. Cheers!

They follow news and current events, have opinions, various fields of interest, etc. I'm curious about what others do or try to do with the things they choose to learn at this point in their lives. Divulge as much or as little as you'd like about the subject matter of your current endeavors to acquire knowledge and skills. My parents never had it. My husband, who is older than I am, never had it. However, some older people associate people in my age group with participation trophies.
