That our being single is an hurdle to our happiness as a person and that we are so because we aren't granted the chance to be in a relationship. Is it really that hard to believe that a single person has chosen to be so? Why is being single often seen as something to be pitied? For some it may be a source of discomfort and lonesomeness. For them I can understand. Yet there are those of us who are perfectly comfortable in our situation and it's kind of insulting when people assume that we are doing so against our own will. Some of us are doing fine in our single lives and don't want your sympathy or your pity because of our choices or comfort levels. Please don't assume it's a problem unless it is stated that we want a change in the situation. less

We'd probably need a fair number of subcategories on Donald Trump for starters.

They can do whatever they want with the iron fist of "whimsy".This isn't the same as some teenager who used to dress up as a "punk". That style was to show a separation from society. The new "geeky corporate style" is to show they ARE society. They rule society and use their *certain kind of intelligence* to rule. They're not turning the olden corporate symbols on their heads. They're saying they ARE the new corporate style. They own the secret knowledge. You cannot join the "club". less

This is the environment we represent to new members:1. feel welcome2. get tired by all these political question3. finally, the snap - "lose your head once, and we will go for your throat!"I cannot say this too much. We need a more healthy environment. We will only get this if we have a more varied question board. Members who have tried to enlighten the content, and who came here with fresh blood have been forced off again with what we have to offer to them. It's a losing game... We cannot compete with the persistence of the political posters. There need to be a change, either in the interface where we can filter the question board (most, recent, views, replies etc.) or by a changed understanding of all members and an understanding of needs to move the questions into the debate room to enable the chances of getting the question board running with more varied questions... less

(based on when the toddler is waking up) ... normally I go to a family and have a set time, in advance, and if the child is up or not, I am there, maybe doing side tasks, but still have a set time already made. Sometimes she'd text me early in a.m. for a few weeks, saying a half hour difference of when to come, but I asked if we could just say a set time .. she replied if we could do a different time (than the one we had been doing for a month ) b/c she might be busier... but now again, it is back to 'I will contact you about the time' , but she still has not for tomorrow, and I don't know how to say, w/out seeming rude or bossy ( I HATE confrontation) ' could we do a set morning time.. ?' How would you go about it? less

Would you like to sign him up?"Me: "I'm not married."Her: Pauses awkwardly "Oh, well, you can bring your boyfriend or significant other."Me: "I don't have one of those either."Her: Pauses twice as long."Oh, that's ok dear. (reassuringly) You can bring a friend instead. Most people bring spouses, but that isn't a rule."Me: No, it'll just be me. I don't have anyone I'd like to bring. Her: "Oh, well, um... How about a coworker then? You could bring someone you work with. Maybe even split the cost."Me: I work from home and I work alone. I have no coworkers. Please just sign me up alone.Dead silence.Perhaps the worst was maybe a week or so after my ex husband moved out. I bought a bunk bed for one of my kids from Craig's List and went to pick it up.Woman: "I'm sorry. My husband is running out to a meeting and can't disassemble the bed. Can your husband ... less
