Promulgating mistreatment of women can be normal in some families and some societies. It is their culture we are told and we dare not and ought not criticize it. We like to think mistreatment of women by men does not exist in America but we would be wrong. Accepting disrespect and mistreatment as 'normal' and no big deal is not unusual for some women.
