It's Trump related, politics related...  I was listening to BBC radio 4, Any Questions which is where they get a bunch of politicians, important people etc and ask them questions related to current affairs, (as in news).  And they had a question about our friend Trumpet :P  The question poser asked the panel did they think that Trump would start acting responsibly by starting to listen to the intelligence service once he had gained more "experience". I positively sniggered at the panels comments about Trump :P  Seriously, when i say no one here likes him - I am not lying. I have only ever heard one person say they like him here... and to be fair that guy was a couple of bricks short of a pallet, not the most intelligent if you know what i mean :P  oh and we know there's Nigel Farage.. but no one takes Farage seriously and even he made derogatory comments and tried to distance himself from Trump when he thought Trump wouldn't win.. so I th...    less

I had a colleague once who insisted on trying to talk to me about what he'd watched on tv.  The conversation would go something like, "Did you watch blah blah on TV last night?"  - No Keith I never watch TV.. "Oh well what about blah diddly blah blah?" - No Keith, I really don't watch any tv.. I am sure he thought I was odd! And maybe I am!But I had a reminder today of why I don't watch tv..  The TV was on..... Hotel Inspector came on... some programme about a woman who gets called in to Hotels that are struggling, to help turn the business around... I mean, I need to know this WHY? It helps me in my daily life HOW? It doesn't, not one jot... but I got drawn in... and ended up watching 3 episodes and wasting 3/4 of the day!  Grr remind me that I should NOT put the TV on!  less

A promise to make America great again taunts us. What was promised can never be. It's like promising to bake a wondrous cheesecake and using rotten eggs, spoiled milk, rancid cream cheese, crushed mothballs instead of sugar and poison instead of vanilla extract. The cheesecake you bake is only as good as the ingredients. We will all become very ill and some of us could die because we will be forced to eat it.  less

The NKVD executed more than 750,000 who rallied against Stalin. Will Trump follow suit? He is going to destroy our existing Intelligence Agencies since he believes they are worthless. What's to stop him from replacing them with a US version of the KGB?  The better to keep the people in line. Say something nice or shut up. The penalty is death by government. Lovely. Hands across the sea. Wither thou goest I goest. See Putin in the lead and Donald J. follows in his footsteps. Why not? He said he could go out into the street and shoot someone and no one would abandon him. I bet he is anxious to prove that once again he is right.
