It happened to me and there are bits and pieces of my life that are gone. I simply do not remember them and so for me they never happened but for others they did. I expect it can happen to anyone at any time for a variety of reasons. WHAT IF Kavanaugh (due to his drunken condition) just does not remember anything like that ever happening? His pal Mark Judge spoke of teenage alcoholism so who knows? How does Professor Ford get justice if she speaks the truth and Kavanaugh continues to deny it ever happened? It could have gone down exactly as she describes. So what happens next? Where is justice here?  less

  • "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness". Stuff the creator endows all humans with and governments are supposed to protect. RIGHT?

WRONG. Why? Because for many their pursuit of happiness involves doing irreparable harm to others. The Declaration of Independence does not deal with that. It goes only so far and ...  moreWRONG. Why? Because for many their pursuit of happiness involves doing irreparable harm to others. The Declaration of Independence does not deal with that. It goes only so far and leaves you hanging. Murderers pursue happiness that make others very unhappy. As do thieves and liars and betrayers and traitors. Once again where is the boundary line between rights of everyone? It depends upon what/who protects those rights doesn't it? Well there ya go. The writers of that Declaration of Independence did not foresee the evil exigencies with which we have to deal today so they did not stipulate against it. SIGH. You have a right to cheat me if that is what makes you happy and I have a right to not be cheated.  Dueling positions. Which right is righter?  less

  • Perhaps Kavanaugh honestly does not remember the attempted rape. If he was drunk a lot as teen he wouldn't remember what he did, right?

So his denials could be based on his lack of memory and not on his being a liar and too cowardly to admit what he did. So how does THAT get resolved?

I eat eggs, bacon, salami, butter, whipping cream, ice cream, lots of home-made bread, potatoes, bake cakes and cookies, and have a vodka or whiskey every day to wash it all down. Not to mention red wine...I can afford it because I have a healthy immune system  and a very good functioning heart. Doctors over the years prescribed medicine I never took ( I am just on a little water tablet - age related ). Cholesterol panel is excellent, osteoarthrosis keeps itself within its borders - - and I still feel like 28 rather than 82. I am pretty sure that comments are coming in where I can say more about all of this. Can I say:  Prosit ( Latin for: may it be good for you!) ??  less

She said he he weren't so drunk he might have succeeded. So here we are again. A smart woman telling or trying to tell what happened to her. Folks attacked Anita Hill for her outing of Thomas. The same folks (much older now) are attacking Christine Ford for outing Kavanaugh. If we don't learn from the past we keep repeating it. Ring a bell?
