I asked my ex just to send their clothes home dirty and he okayed it. The kids have warned her. She still does it. Sometimes they come back as a hybrid between overly-potent detergent and cigarette smoke. It takes me dozens of washes to get the crap off their clothes.

A) An evil B hell-bent on making me miserable.
B) A lovely, thoughtful lady who is trying to help and obviously doesn't understand that she's negatively impacting me.
C) Who cares what her motives are? Give her a new shirt covered in itching powder as a gift and see if she catches on.
D) Chill out JA. If this is your biggest problem with the chick, you're doing ok. Be quiet and go back to washing the clothes for the 10th time.
E) Something else. (Please explain.) less

Instead of accepting the truth about God and submitting to it, most human beings reject it and seek their own way to understand God. But this leads not to enlightenment regarding God, but to futility of thinking. Here is where we find the basis of the “many religions.”Many people do not want to believe in a God who demands righteousness and morality, so they invent a God who makes no such requirements. Many people do not want to believe in a God who declares it impossible for people to earn their own way to heaven. So they invent a God who accepts people into heaven if they have completed certain steps, followed certain rules, and/or obeyed certain laws, at least to the best of their ability. Many people do not want a relationship with a God who is sovereign and omnipotent. So they imagine God as being more of a mystical force than a personal an... less

Yes I know, it's because I have a bad attitude or a Napoleon complex or I'm just weird, or not very smart, or there's just some mystical quality that's hard to explain that people just find off-putting.
Drug possession, illegal possession of a firearm and outstanding warrants for missed court dates or unpaid child support were the most common causes for arrest.

Now it is gone. It was some horrible spam that is being forced upon anyone who uses the internet about Hillary Clinton. I can't find it now. It disappeared.

I was about 50 feet away and as I was running over to break it up I could see that they weren't goofing around or holding back. Then I noticed that our family dog was going nuts with confusion he would try to stop one boy from throwing punches then the other boy and so on. When I got to them I got between them and said - look what your doing to Sundance they did then hung their heads in shame and went to their corners. Pretty sure if I would of said - boys look what your doing to me they would of said - so what old man (back then I was getting on their 17 year old teenager nerves too). We have a great relationship now so I'll always be grateful to Sundance for playing a part in it (might be different these days if the fight turned into a 3 man fight). Cheers! less

Conservative groups have tried to capitalize on this through "astroturfing", which is using paid commenters to try to affect perceptions of the news. Right now the two largest employers of conservative astroturfing trolls are the Koch funded think tank FreedomWorks, and conservative activist and Breitbart news publisher Steve Bannon.
Along with this rise in astroturfing has come the rise of the "Aggressive Democratic Commenter", who are private individuals with an interest in politics who have taken it upon themselves to skewer and satirize the astroturfers. ADCs have no Republican equivalent, and if you look at most news stories you'll see the conservative comments appear childish and inane, while the comments from liberals are factually accurate, and often contain a biting wit that appeals strongly to readers. There is no Republican equivalent to the ADC, as Republicans are generally less intell... less

My brother and sister also have no children, so once they pass away (and due to known health conditions it's practically guaranteed they'll both pass away before me) it'll just be me.
Sometimes I wonder what I'll do when I get older, and the notion of living independently for as long as I'm able, then committing suicide if and when I'm ever given a terminal diagnosis seems like the best option. If I were to reach my 70s and end up being diagnosed with Alzheimer's or Organic Heart Disease, I really see no value in spending my winter years in a nursing home run by the county.
What are your thoughts on this issue, and do you agree with assisted suicide for those who are given diagnoses for chronic and terminal diseases like Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and MS? less
