But the ambulance charges of $4K arrived and we owed $0 on that. So without insurance what would we do? I have no idea. Become destitute I suppose. Well my cancer would have insured that in 2008 and I'd have died anyway because we couldn't have afforded to keep me alive without insurance. Of what value is medical insurance? I guess many of you don't even know what I'm talking about. Anyway when I broke my ankle at age 3 he put a cast on it. When I had my tonsils removed he was the one who did it. A generalist not specialist. If I'd needed heart surgery I don't know if he could have done that. But what we needed from a family doctor he provided.
