To the extent that we are constrained by our limitations(intellect and prejudices being the main ones) it is to that same degree that we will get things wrong despite believing we are always right. Does that ever bother you?

The dead man is Gregory Vaughn Hill Jr. The location was Fort Pierce, Florida. An unloaded gun was found in his back pocket. Gregory was killed by Sheriff's Deputy Christopher Newman. Apparently Greg was playing music too loud. He was also apparently drunk. So that's what we know. What was the jury saying to the family with that "award"? Anyone have a clue? Ever hear of such a thing as that? less
You carry your experiences everywhere you go. Does the baggage ever get so heavy you have to let some of it go? How do you decide which baggage isn't worth carrying any longer?

Some folks attack other members with snide snarky insulting condescending supercilious arrogance consistently and they're just hunky dorry okey dokey swell. The one who reacts often is the ONLY one who is punished/rebuked and gets he**. I don't get it.

The organization publicly spoke out against sexual abuse by Catholic clerics in the early 1990s, but it seems this cult has their own problem with pedophiles. They've paid out tens of millions of dollars in settlements to child abuse victims in order to keep quiet the fact that over 1,000 of their "elders" have been accused of sexually assaulting children. Apparently their prison ministry appeals to those who have already been convicted of sex crimes against children. I wonder why?!?Next week's episode takes a look at a different cult, widely known for encouraging adults to engage in inappropriate relationships with children, the "Children of God". less

They can't deal with it. Everyhing must be in its place. No one must go uotside the line. Going outside the box is unthinkable. Wicky wacky ticky wacky sameness. Seems really dull to me but maybe it's the only way we will ever get along. Forget differences. All be the same. That way no one gets upsets. No one is unique. No way stands out. No one is different from anyone else. less

That ought to stop those whippersnappers from trying to be creative/inventive/unique and set themselves apart from others who all think alike talk alike act alike look alike. How fun a world would that be for thee? All writing styles thrown out and ONE would be legal. Oh frabjous joyful day! Sheesh!

Just like the Reverend don juan does at his rallies where the folks go crazy with love for him. He shouts. They shout. He shouts harder. They shout harder back. He pumps his fists and steels his eyes and my or my how he does proselytize. The church of the Reverend don juan has no peer. He snaps his fingers and they do his bidding. Every time. Without question. Mesmerizing. Hypnotic. Mysterious. SIGH. less

Two of his jets are being used by other GODLY men. The one good old Jesse is using is old and needs replacing. He said if JESUS were here now preaching the gospel He wouldn't be riding a donkey. He'd be in a jet. So loosen those purse strings. Cough up some bucks. Jets for Jesus! Has a certain je ne sais quoi to it doesn't it?
