I had an interview today.... it was challenging, which is good - I don't think I will get the position, (It's not a job but a placement for a course) but one of the questions they asked was about how do we recognise when we should hand something over to someone else... because they have more experience, because their style works better with the client, or because we are too emotionally involved... And I do think that's an area of weakness of mine.. that I always try to help people, that i go that extra mile, that I want to heal them, to soothe them to empower them to change their lives.. that sometimes I have to accept that they just don't want to or are just not ready to... less

If you need brain surgery you go to a BRAIN SURGEON not a pediatrician. If you murdered someone you hire a CRIMINAL LAWYER and not one who is expert in getting you out of traffic tickets. They are all different and their training, education, knowledge is different. One size does not fit all in any profession. Why anyone would think it does amazes me. We live in an era of SPECIALIZATION. A college professor who teaches physics is not trained to teach special needs kids and those special needs teachers are not competent to teach a college course in physics.
