What's even worse is when the rest of the herd or the rest of the school of fish, etc., don't jump in and gang up on the predator(s)! Once again, I know it's all instinctual they way they act and/or react, but if several water buffalo or several seals or several rabbits joined together and took on the lionesses or hyenas or hawks or sharks or wolves, the outcome might be different. I do celebrate and cheer the prey that successfully gets away, especially when they are already in the jaws of the predators.
