BUT if you fix a race so a particular political candidate will win enormous harm can be done and often is. There are different degrees of harm...from very little to incalculable. Yet cheating goes on and the cheaters are always very proud that they "won". What is there to be proud about when you "win" simply because you cheated/stacked the deck/fixed the outcome? less

One week, one month one year? Defects sometimes don't show up for years. Quality Control. Quality Assurance. Safety tests. Is there a specific science behind it or is it just scattershot hoping for the best? Cars are being recalled all the time. Is that normal?

This way, when I run people off the road, I have at least one hand available to throw a "friendly" gesture their way as I leave them in the dust.Today, I had no alternative. I had an appointment which ran later than expected and by the time I left, it was 1:30 pm. I realized I hadn't eaten all day and I was famished. I ran into a local shop to pick up something small to tide me over until I got home but, the smell of chili wafted through the air and up into my quivering nostrils. I experienced one of my rare food "O"s. So, I bought a small container of chili and proceeded to drive home. Have you ever tried to drive 50+ MPH while spooning chili into your chili hole? Take it from me, it's not easy. I had to take my hands off the wheel several times but that was okay, I just used my knees to steer. It worked out fine. I never spilled a dr... less

Look, there's no better place for solar than the Mexico border -- the southern border. And there is a very good chance we can do a solar wall, which would actually look good. But there is a very good chance we could do a solar wall. One of the things with the wall is you need transparency. You have to be able to see through it. In other words, if you can't see through that wall — so it could be a steel wall with openings, but you have to have openings because you have to see what's on the other side of the wall. And I'll give you an example. As horrible as it sounds, when they throw the large sacks of drugs over, and if you have people on the other side of the wall, you don't see them -- they hit you on the head with 60 pounds of stuff? It's over. As cray as that sounds, you need transparency through that wall. But we have some incredible designs. less

What other profession is so replete with detritus? What other profession has so many members working against the best interests of the people they are allegedly supposed to serve? In what other profession can people get away with breaking the law, attacking/crushing/annihilating precedent/protocol/tradition and flaunting it? Rubbing our faces in it? Altogether a curiously homogeneous crew of individuals out for themselves getting fatter and fatter off the duplicity and misery they conspire to inflict on others. less

They became naturalized citizens and were very proud of their country. Being a citizen meant a lot to them. It means a lot to me. Does it mean a lot to every citizen? I don't know. I cannot speak for them but it doesn't seem so. Those who join in subverting our institutions certainly are not good citizens. They are opportunists who are out for themselves. Screw the country! Screw its laws. Screw the Constitution. Screw anyone who gets in the way! All that matters is WINNING and it doesn't matter how. Shameful. less

I don't know what to talk to them about or how to keep them entertained at this age!
