He was drafted by Philadelphia a few years ago despite having no American high school or college experience and has just become the first Australian to start, play and win a Super Bowl (the "Monstar" Jesse Williams was on injured reserve with Seattle in 2013, he didn't start. Neither was he a rugby player, and Williams did play American football in college, with the University of Alabama).Quite a few Australian rules footballers have had success as punters, but Mailata is the first rugby player to play as an offensive lineman and be successful at it. Will it be more common now?  less

Trump just announced that plans to fire several Board members at Washington D.C.'s John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. And the said he would name himself chairman.
The people he plans on firing are the people that refused to meet with him at the WH during his first term. Trump claims there are a lot of Drag Queen shows that target youth at the center. There isn't – there was only 2 drag queen shows at the centers roof top restaurant and they weren't targeting youth.
Trump has used his 2nd term for revenge and his tariffs and deportation plan will do nothing but drive up the price of food and create food shortages in America. So I’m wondering what a cucumber sandwich will cost people while they watch the J6th choir preform - over and over and over again. Cheers!  less

Seems to me that Trump has done everything but try to bring down food prices.
But maybe there is still hope because Trump has set up a Faith Office at the WH. He just signed an executive order appointing televangelist Paula White-Cain to lead the initiative. And maybe with their faith and their dance skills they will bring down food prices in America.

EDIT: I am NOT referring to drivers remaining in the said driveway for more time than it takes to pull in and then reverse out, parking in the driveway, etc.________________________________
There are times when drivers need to turn their vehicles around when driving on a residential street, and the nearest or most convenient place to do so is the next driveway they see. It takes just few seconds to do, so it’s not as if they are parking there or even blocking it for an extended period of time.
However, some homeowners or renters of those properties get angry and/or defensive and/or confrontational when that happens. I guess they see it as some sort of infringement or encroachment or violation of space, I don’t know.
Personally, it means nothing to me if it happens at my home, I guess a partial reason I don’t mind is that I even do it myself when driving. (Caveat: if it’s an extremely large, extremely heavy vehicle, maybe.  But a passenger vehicle? Come&nbs...    less

The water is rushing into a dry lake bed in the Central Valley were it will be absolutely no use in fighting the LA fires. But it might bring up the property value around that formally dry lake bed.
The farmers in the basin own the water that was released and they depend on that water for their crops during the dry season – now it’s gone.
Also Trump should have had State approval before he released the water .

The world’s richest man may now have access to the confidential personal information of every taxpayer in the United States.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Friday granted Elon Musk and his minions at the faux-agency DOGE full access to the Treasury’s massive federal payment system.

Shazam, almost immediately a plane hits a military chopper over DC, and a medijet goes down over Philadelphia. It's probably too soon to blame His Royal Orangeness for this, but deleting those people whose primary responsibility is air safety is NOT going to improve the situation.
