I was a LOUSY member. Got along okey dokey. But each day at lunch time they'd meet "at the wall" on the campus of Pasadena City College. It was kinda mandatory. Guess who didn't show up? SIGH.We did have fun at the campus-based sorority and fraternity parties. Harmless fun by today's standards. The big deal was a keg of beer. Now who knows? And for Easter week one year we had a blast. We rented a house in Laguna Beach as did some of the other sororities and fraternities on campus. We all hung out together and watched out for one another. I have to tell you that was absolutely the most fun time I've ever had being a joiner. I remember it fondly. I was 17 at the time. Honestly. I really was 17 once upon a time!Confessions of a self-professed LONER. We all have skeletons in our closets right? That is mine! Belonging to a sorority for heaven's sakes! Me... less

Turn away. Let it slide. Go along with it. Pretend it isn't happening. Feign ignorance. How is that GOOD by any standard? It is cowardly and is very close to being evil itself. Just my opinion. Another famous saying with which I do not agree. Wish I could but I don't."Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends than that good men should look on and do nothing".John Stuart Mill. 1867.

To me liddle donny d is ANATHEMA from toes to nose to orange head. Yet he is the beloved of millions. I have nothing in common with them. Perhaps I never did. I do not justify excuse accept their views about such a loathesome homo sap. Why they do I cannot say. That they do is a tragedy to me.

On the other hand they will take the accomplishments of others and steal whatever glory they can by lying about it. I don't know when or why honor/honorable became epithets. Do you?

Which way the powerful person chooses to use it determines who that person always was. You can't blame power for anything. It is not accountable or responsible for anything. The parents were afraid for them but VERY PROUD of them and would never have considered lying to keep them out of the draft. Have such young men been phased out of the species? Did cowardice replace service to your country? What happened why did it happen and are you a fan of such people? D'ya think it's stupid to put your life on the line for your country in a foreign country? D'ya think very smart people avoid their duty obligation and very dumb ones don't? The decline of western civilization begins with cowardice or just not giving a dam*? less

He portrayed 'Cyclops.'
PLOT SPOILER!!!!!His character was killed off in the second movie, by a female-looking lizard-like goddess or something -- by a lake, I think. I didn't watch anymore of the movies with him killed off. Were James Marsden and 'Cyclops' ever brought back in later movies in the franchise? (Heck -- they're super hero movies -- I figure he could cheat death maybe.) less

Pete Buttigieg, the 37-year-old mayor of South Bend, Indiana, is running for president as a self-described pragmatist who wants to bring generational change to Washington.
The Harvard-educated Navy veteran told INSIDER he's not ready to get into many policy specifics, but he's already put forward a few proposals — including expanding the Supreme Court and getting rid of the Electoral College — that are making waves.
Some Democrats say Buttigieg isn't ready to run for the nation's highest office, but others say the bid is a strategic way to build a national profile and turbocharge his promising career.
