I am a daydream believer, I love music and especially lyrics. I believe that the world and essentially the people in it are basically good and well meaning, well barring a few notable exceptions and extremists. I believe in trusting and assuming everyone is good and kind - until and unless they prove otherwise. I believe in love, (a lovely old Don Williams song that!) I believe in caring I believe in kindness.. I am light and fluffy and believe it or not very humourous.. But at the same time.. I loathe and detest Trump..the man is pure vileness on legs.. No one ever asked me to despise him. . no one influenced me.. I base it purely on how the man acts.... and pretty much so does everyone I've talked to in my sphere of contacts/work. We don't have to be told he's bad.. he shows us this every time he opens his mouth.. What's hard to understand is how so many people manage... less

I was thinking, so what is it about right-wing extremists and extremists in general I don't like.. and I hit on a simple explanation I thought I would share.. The thing about extremists that worries me is.... that they are extremist! It's that their views are *extreme* and usually violently so. Their views are, by definition, NOT normal, they are not part of the norm and how normal people think. There may be a fair few of them, and their numbers may be increasing, but they are NOT the majority. However, the DO seek to influence the majority and they do seek to convert people to their way of thinking..and as that thinking is often very racist and violent - AND they seek to *punish* those who disagree with them or who are *different* to their ideal - that has to be a thing we feel is either worrying or even... less

I had zillions of notifications yesterday but today when I clicked on "see all notifications" there are only 5. The rest are gone. So if I don't get back to you that may be why. This is a rock I found at the shopping center yesterday. i joined the group on FB and posted it as being found. Got a reply from a lady who said her daughter painted this one and hid it yesterday. She as excited that it had been found. You can check to see if your local area does anything like this, or start one yourself. Just create a FB page dedicated to your art drop group and start hiding little treasures around town with a link to your page. :) I think it's a great idea. less
