Now ALL the questions and answers ever asked/answered were in the Answerbag archives going back to day one. If we had KNOWN IN ADVANCE Answerbag was going to fold is there any way we could have transferred our individual activities to our own computer data base? Obviously I know nothing about the inner workings of computers so I don't know if it would have been possible or if the question is ridiculous. If it is ridiculous please don't ridicule me. It's just that there is a lot of communication that occurred in those days with people I love who are no longer in my life for a variety of reasons, among them that some died. I would treasure being able to go back and read them again. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way. less

Are they simply new marketing terms for existing TCP/IP-based protocols, or are they more complex than that? I've read up on them on Wikipedia, but it doesn't make much sense to me outside of being a fancy name for network communications.

“Death is the only wise advisor that we have. Whenever you feel, as you always do, that everything is going wrong and you're about to be annihilated, turn to your death and ask if that is so. Your death will tell you that you're wrong; that nothing really matters outside its touch. Your death will tell you, 'I haven't touched you yet.” ― Carlos Castaneda, Journey to Ixtlan

So how would you classify yourself, say, on a scale of 1 to 10--one being no preparation at all for disaster, and ten being full-on bunker mentality?

After a steady decline in gun ownership in recent years, more homes are reporting having a weapon inside, according to a new survey.
Pew Research Center, in a poll on guns released Friday, showed that 44 percent of the country has a gun in the house. Some 51 percent don't.

Rules:
1. I have to make an honest effort to respond as soon as I read your answer, I cannot think about it or look up information and come back later.
2. I cannot merely say, "Thank you" or leave an emoji or an emoticon. A response from me means an actual and complete sentence. (Questions are one type of sentence, by the way.)
3. Your answer is automatically disqualified from competition if it's in a language that I don't know/can't read.
4. Nonsense answers are encouraged, but remember with whom you're dealing, and I respond very well and very often to nonsense.
5. If you don't hear from me at all anywhere in the thread that follows your answer, you've won.

It disappeared and another skeleton of a lizard was turned over and tossed on the porch. This never happens.
The last time someone in my close life died like this, a coyote left jackrabbit feet and a tail in front of my house.

I think its unfair that they got to move on already. We have a baby together, so its even harder for me because i dont ever want to trust another man into my life. I just feel like maybe i should be happy, am i having selfish feelings? any tips on how to get over and move on myself?
