Oftentimes when I have encountered this, asking the host for salt and/or pepper results in blank stares and confusion, requiring a brief explanation from me as to how or why they're used. If there were nothing there to fear none of that would be necessary. But there is so much to hide that donjohn clearly fears being disclosed he has let loose the dogs of war and directed them to tear apart by whatever means anything and everything that threatens him. An innocent man would not have to resort to that. We all know that. Everyone knows that. The donjohn supporters know that. They will never admit it but they are scared and frightened and panicky because of what they themselves fear will be uncovered. So we shall see how they hold up under the spotlight.
