If they stopped spending so much money on themselves maybe there'd be more money to take care of the needs of we the people. I know! What an odd idea, right? There even used to be "Complaint Departments" in stores where you could tell 'em what you didn't like and they'd try to do something about it....try to make you happy Now it's a joke. When/where did it start? At gas stations where you pump your own gas and they don't care if your windshield is matted with dead bugs? At the market where you bag your own groceries? At the bank where they have boarded up most of the teller stations and you either use machines they have in the lobby "for your convenience" or wait in long lines for the one or two tellers there to get around to you? This is PROGRESS? less

We also have the potential to be evil and destructive. Potential. How many choices, how many outcomes does that include? Would you be happy living a life some other-worldly entity had programmed for you and no matter what you said or did was already mapped out for you? I dunno. Doesn't appeal to me. But is anyone bolstered by their mental scars, which might prove the passing of a trial that bade them improve in the greater sense?

I know I have evolved in so many ways... in some ways I am a different person... but when it comes down to it, I am not sure that I am really all that different..SO how about anyone else.. has anyone here ever REALLY changed?
