Several callers to the show indicated they tended to clam up about their conservative views/support of Trump in the predominanty liberal-leaning social environment of the SF Bay AreaConversely, I saw an article on Salon.com about women in the "Red Middle" of the United States who support Hilary Clinton, but are reluctant to make their views public.http://www.salon.com/2016/10/27/how-large-is-the-secret-hillary-club-red-state-women-may-be-defying-their-trump-loving-husbands/How prevelant do you think such groups are and how much influence do you think they'll have on the upcoming election?  less

It was hurtful, offensive and the fallout reached far beyond the two people on it. Bush got fired. His family/friends were undoubtedly shocked. Women had to listen to the way one particular man thought about them. Whether it was only words is irrelevant. The harm is done and cannot be undone.  The damage keeps reverberating. Those who think it's no big deal because that's just how men are puzzle/perplex me. Words can no more be unsaid than actions can be undone. The thinking person realizes that and tries to anticipate what the repercussions can be and avoid  negative ones. Unthinking people say whatever comes to mind and then get miffed/agitated/aggravated/irate if you take them to heart. If you believe them. Strange world.  less

It is always better to investigate/evaluate/review things on their own merit rather than simply relying on what occurred in the past. People can change.
