Manager comes back but one employee went scuttling to senior management saying she deserved promotion.. This promotion involved taking work/responsibility away from the manager and was put to senior management as quite negative about the manager.. Significant exaggerations and untruths were told...A new colleague joins the team and says that well, the other colleague would say yes if she were asked to be promoted/take on extra responsibility.. It was pointed out that it wasn't simply that the other was offered promotion... So the dilemma is.. would you take a promotion if you knew it would be disloyal and hurt your manager? less
