It seemed that all of a sudden one day my obedient little boy started disagreeing with me and told me why and I was floored and delighted and a little sad because it meant my sweet young son was stretching his wings mentally and verbally and making a lot of sense. When did it happen? From then on we had many conversations about differences of opinion for years. In fact his teenage friends would roll their eyes and sit back and just listen if/when such a conversation happened to occur when they were there. It's funny the things a parent cherishes about the growth of a child from little boy to assertive (but respectful) young boy and then teen and then a young man. I remember that day vividly. I don't remember what the disagreement/difference of opinion was about and it wasn't a huge lilfe-shattering thing. It marked a turning point for me as a parent. What turning points have you experienced as a parent and have they delighted you too as they have me? less
Apparently allegedly that is what is happening. Heartless. Cold. Uncaring. All hallmarks of current government. Sad that there is no low too low for them to go isn't it?

Which what the formner advertisers who dumped Laura Ingraham did. It got her attention immediately and she "apologized" ostensbily. What happens next? Do any of her advertisers return when the heat cools down? Or are they gone for good? Will other advertisers replace the ones who dumped her? I've asked before why meds without deleterious side effects can't be created. There's gotta be a way that you don't have pay for fixing one problem by creating others.

I used to think government was there to help the people. Our current government helps the wealthy/privileged and screws the rest of us so i can't use that as an example. But ideally and at other times government WAS there to help and did. Today it's make a buck. Suck all you can out of the pigeons/marks. Enjoy your lavish lifestyle on the backs of the poor, the old, the ill. That is what private enterprise is to me. What is it to thee and why is it advantageous? We surely can't use our current government as a good example. It is the worst that ever was or ever could be. BUT it won't last forever. The pendulum will swing and boot their a**es out and then maybe we can restore some normalcy to our country. SIGH. I know. Naive. Unrealistic. Wishful thinking. So shoot me! :( less
