It makes no sense to me to actively try to live a healthy life while simultaneously supporting legislation that jeopardizes the health of everyone. Does it make sense to you? How?
What the repeal does is allow coal companies to dump mining debris in streams. Cool for the Coal Guys! How cool for anyone leaving near those streams and their children?

Because many coal mining jobs were lost to technology rather than regulations and also from competition from natural gas and renewables. That competition is not going away. Why doesn't Trump KNOW THAT?

It instructs:
1. The EPA to rewrite tough rules that now make it impossible to build a new coal-fired power plant.
2. The Interior Department to end Obama’s moratorium on new coal mines on federal lands, among other steps. Trump’s order will resume federal coal leasing.
3. All federal regulators to stop using the “social cost of carbon,” which attempts to quantify the effects of climate change, in economic analyses of future rules.
But hardliners and moderates in the White House couldn't agree on some things:
1. Trump won’t tell the EPA to reconsider the underlying policy that lets it regulate carbon emissions — the 2009 “endangerment finding” in which the EPA declared that greenhouse gas pollution threatens human... less

In many ways it actually contributes more to over-all pollution and increases the production and the use of plastics. How come there is no focus on separating organic waste that when added to the land benefits it from inorganic waste that damages it?The decomposed organic waste can even be saved and put into the market to offset costs and decrease the use of chemical fertilizers and soil compounds taken from the land. This would greatly reduce the size used for our dumping grounds of less environmentally friendly waste.Plastic recycling still needs new plastic for the process and requires more energy than virgin plastics. Glass can be 100% recycled but has no significant damaging health effect on the environment and transporting it to recycling just adds to the air pollution. Paper recycling is about a wash. The recycling of metal is really the only good that is concrete in being better to recycle than throw away.Got to bett... less
