We have representatives that vote in what we call an electoral college, getting two votes from each, one for the president and one for the vice-president. They do not have to vote for the candidate, if they choose not to, even if their state voted for them. This is what our founders decided, in case they needed further assistance to get the candidates they wanted. Is it possible? They vote on Dec. 19.

They didn't give a rat's a** about either candidate so they didn't bother voting. I sincerely hope they won't bother complaining either. They gave up that right when they chose not to vote.

It would only be fair to know, so no one has expectations of receiving feedback.

It creaks and reeks with age and infirmity. It is time to retire it and send it off for a long-deserved rest. Replace it with something fresher/younger/better. Like, say the POPULAR vote? That is always going to be current isn't it?

What else is he going to remove/replace/destroy before he knows the WHY? How else does he plan to cripple the country while he is still wet behind the ears and ignorant? I know. We will see. How terrible will it be?

His lack of care and concern for his children was scandalous. He announced his divorce plans to the media before privately informing his wife and children. He openly admitted having an affair with Judy Nathan while married. I don't know how "good" he was in his professional life but in his personal life? Good has nothing to do with it. So PET once again chooses a sleazeball to serve in his cabinet. I know there are some really great people out there in the Republican Party. Why are none of them being brought on board? less

In 1997 he was fined $300,000 and reprimanded by Congress for ethics violations . He is the first ever Speaker of the House to have been reprimanded. He was charged with using of tax-exempt organizations for political purposes and also for providing false information to the House Ethics Committee. He was pressured into resigning by his Republican colleagues which he did. He was carrying too much negative baggage. Is he now clean as a whistle? All prior history of what he is erased? Or is it just more looking the other way and pretending we don't see all the ugliness he represents? less

Why not select folks who take their vows seriously? Who don't play around on the side? Are there none of them available? Or are they simply unwilling to be part of the PET parade?
