The juice has nowhere to go but straight in and the natural sugar as not a good thing to hit like that. Giving juices to kids is also not good on an empty stomach. Mother's Day was approaching. I got a call from his best friend who was attending college locally who invited me out for a Mother's Day Brunch at the beach!It was a restaurant at Malibu. Ever see the TV Show Rockford Files. It was that restaurant. We lived in the San Fernando Valley at the time so it was quite a trek. After breakfast we just walked on the beach for awhile. A PERFECT day to do that. He spent a few hours with me and I felt so privileged and honored that my son's friend would do that for me. I even asked the staff for a different room, I was informed that unfortunately due to the tropical weather, humidity lingers inside all of the rooms, so the only people who even notice the odors are those who arrive from outer climates. The local people have just become so accustomed to it that they don’t notice it as abnormal. Sure enough, the second and third rooms they allowed me to poke my head into had the same aroma. The open-air areas of the hotel, such as the lobby, the restaurant, etc, do not suffer that plight, only the rooms and meeting areas, because they remain closed up for more than half the day every day. ~ less
